Additional food support resources:

  • St Cuthbert’s Church West Hampstead: St Cuthbert’s Church runs a FoodCycle hot meal takeaway service each Saturday between 1:30 and 2:30pm. The West Hampstead Community Food Hub started at St Cuthbert’s Church when the pandemic first began in March 2020. It moved to Sidings in the summer, when St Cuthbert’s was able to restart their nursery and socially distanced services.

  • Local Food Support: A great summary of local food support, including a calendar showing meal services available each day of the week.

  • Camden Food Support: A directory showing all food support available in Camden, by postcode.

  • Age UK Camden Shopping Service: A shopping service which enables clients to place their order over the phone with an Age UK representative one a week. The representative arranges a suitable delivery time from the supermarket of their choice, meaning that clients can enjoy the full benefits of online shopping without having to use a computer or leave their home. There is a £5 fee per shop, which is debited at the end of each month, with the client receiving an invoice to confirm the payment.

  • Kilburn Streets Kitchen: run a hot food and clothing service for the homeless community every Friday on Kilburn High Road from 7:30-8:30pm (map here).

  • Dear Camden Resident, It’s ok not to feel ok flyer

  • Boloh is a new service launched by Barnardo’s to provide therapeutic support for children and young people of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities (and their parents / carers) - call 0800 1512605. Help can include advice / signposting, therapeutic support and access to vouchers to purchase food / clothing.

  • Express Line offer discounted access to online talk therapy / counselling (which is free for those aged 16-25). Funded by

Loneliness & Isolation:

  • Talking Bubble, run by charity, Dialogue Society, matches trained volunteers who are like-minded and share the same interests, with those who would like a conversation. They also offer a befriending service in Albanian, Arabic, Greek, Kurdish, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, and many more languages. They have a robust vetting process; all the volunteers will be DBS and reference-checked, and they will receive proper training before participation.   • Citizen’s Advice Bureau Camden offer a brilliant phone advice service. Call their adviceline (free from mobiles and landlines) on 0808 278 7835. They also have very helpful online resources.
